"Dora, Dora, Dora the explorer" if you know the actual tune to that you must hear the song regularly, I know I do. I wouldn't say that my daughter is obsessed with it or anything we might have a couple dora dolls and she insists on watching it Saturday morning but that's about it. One halloween or two ago she dressed as dora, we took a few pictures of it to show her later on in life as evidence of her love for this little dark haired girl and her monkey. When I originally put the pictures in the album I didn't have dora paper or stickers or anything or even the time to do the page. I have time now, and the resources to find dora things and im going to redo the page. Here's some things that I found.

My hubby was kind enough to share his head cold with me, im feeling very beat up right now. My ears throat and sinuses hurt and I think I could fall asleep any second. I sure hope the girls don't get this, then not only but they be miserable but I would be miserable times 3. I know they have some products on the market so speed up the duration of a cold I might have to try that out. Since in the grand scheme of things we all must get sick a few times a year we migh as well include a sick page or two in the album. I remember looking through my album not to long ago and seeing that my own mother included photos of me when I had the chicken pox, so why not the common cold we get them several times a year.

My family and I had a good weekend, got some cleaning done and we went to see Horton Hears A Who on Sunday very cute. And Sunday afternoon we went to a St. Pattys party everyone was supposed to bring a green dish to share. We took green potato salad and green Hawaiian Punch, and the corned beef and cabbage was provided. I don't think I would have thought of doing a St. Pattys party it was a lot of fun. We talked some about the March Madness going on and I thought it would be fun to do a March madness scrapbook page. Heres some things that you can use to do that.

Doing a scrapbook page on basketball makes me want to go see a game. If you do get to go do that keep the tickets to put on the page.

The Wearin' O' The Green
Today is the day fer the wearin' o' the green.
Today is the day when the little people are seen.
Today is St. Patrick's Day, so if ye'r Irish me lad,
Join the celebratin' fer the grandest time ta' be had.
Ya' put yer hand up in the air, the other hand on your hip.
Ya' tap yer toe, ya' tap yer heel, ya' bounce yer knee a wee bit.
Ya' prance 'n dance around the room, n' circle one two three.
The saints be praised, I must admit, ya' all look Irish ta' me.
~ not sure who the author is but brite music has it put to music and I remember using that song in a talent show in 4th grade.
I love to scrap Holidays and there are lots of things that you can do with page layouts. I was up feeding my little one this morning at 4 and she wouldn't go back to sleep so we looked for green scrapbook supplies on the net and found a site that just does Holidays.

I have a severe scrapbook supply addiction, I took my older daughter to school a while ago and my little one is sleeping and I find my self killing time looking at scrapbook things on the internet. My daughter got to have a bubble bath this morning so she would be clean for pictures. I figured the bubbles would help her to want to stay in there a little longer. I confess I took a few pictures of her while she was in the tub, nothing was exposed she wont be to horrible embarrassed when later on in life I pull the baby book out to show her boyfriends. (haha) But I just found the cutest things to use on a bath time scrapbook page.

My daughter and I have been obsessed with bubbles lately. We have been to the dollar store and Big Lots a few times to get their cheap bubble supplies. She likes being outside for a few minutes before she has to go to preschool and I like not having her underfoot while im trying to get her lunch ready. So in honor of bubbles, I found a few bubbly things you can do with a scrapbook page.

Tomorrow is my daughters class picture day at school and I would really like her pictures to turn out good. Because you know we all get suckered into buying them. We went to the store and picked out a cute little outfit for her (from the clearance rack) and we figured out how we would like her to wear her hair, now its up to her to smile in the pictures. Here are a few tips to make school pictures the best they can be.
Tip 1: Plan ahead. Decide together what your child will wear that day, have a backup outfit incase the first one isn't weather appropriate. Play with different hair styles, think back to your school photos and figure out what you thought worked best eg...girl's should have hair down because you cant see a ponytail on the back of the head.
Tip2: Be sensitive to your child’s emotions and needs. If they don't want to wear the button down shirt with the burgundy blazer you picked out don't make them wear it. They really do need to have a say in what they are wearing. The happier they are with the outfit the happier they will look in the picture. Same with hair :o)
Tip 3: Make the pre-photo day work a tradition. School photo day is a great time to chronicle (photographically) the growth of your child. One day you’will be taking a photo of your child heading off to the first day of college. Hopefully that's not to soon.

I have spent the last few days trying to clean up my web site, I realized that I had a few dead links and some things needed to be updated. I have also realized that finding time to set down and blog for a few minutes a day on something that I love is hard to do between feeding baby and taking/picking up sister from pre-school amongst house chores. I know that I need to do this to keep a since of self thou so I have made a promise to myself I will be here for at least a few minutes a week even if im sitting at the computer at midnight on the 7th day.
I found some more cute school theme things for the album that I would like to share...

Its been 3 years since I have written in this blog. Some crazy things have happened since last time. I had to give up making scrapbooks for a living and get a job in the real world. I needed the medical insurance for my daughter who was diagnosed as being autistic, and my husband had lost his job because of a horrible back injury. He's back at work now and I just had our 2nd child.
I have been on maternity leave for a few weeks now and I have truly enjoyed being at home with my two girls. I was talking to my daughters speech therapist the other day and she said that my oldest has really responded to me being at home with her full time. I think that im going to give my two weeks notice at work so that I can continue to be an influence in her life on a full time bases. We are going to work on getting ready for kindergarten this fall.
So in honor of kindergarten this upcoming fall here's some cute things to use on a child's school scrapbook page...
This can be found in my scrapbook supplies link if your interested in looking at in closer.

Making Cute Cards
It's not that im a cheap or anything I just like giving people homemade cards. Anyone can go to the store and buy a card it takes a creative soul to actually make one. I think that receiving a homemade cards shows that someone really does care, the took time, money and creative energy and made a really great card for me. That in my book is very cool, and better than Hallmark any day.
In my wanderings I found some cute card making ideas here's a link to it, go make someone you care about a card. It can say what ever you want it too, just use the basic ideas they provide for you.
